FOR CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 2 & 10:
Each Sunday morning, before church, we have a Bible lesson available for your children. The lesson is taught by two of our church members, and is appropriate for all children between the ages of 2 & 10. We use "Answers Bible Curriculum" from Answers in Genesis, a chronological study through the entire Bible. The lesson itself always begins at 9:45 a.m. and lasts a half an hour.
FOR MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH:
For our youth we offer an age-specific Bible class on an every-other Sunday morning basis from 9:45-10:15 a.m. This class takes place in a quiet corner of our coffeehouse in the basement. We use "Answers Bible Curriculum" from Answers in Genesis, utilizing the members of our church to lead them in a discussion.
WHAT NEXT?
While the Bible lesson is being taught, your family is welcome to join us downstairs in the café before the service begins. This is where you’ll find the bathrooms, along with good coffee, bakery, and conversation. Once the children are finished, make your way upstairs to pick them up, and then find a nice seat in the sanctuary. The pews at the back of the room are reserved for parents and families with small children. Child care is available during the service for children 5 and under if needed.
An usher will be nearby to answer your questions and help you get situated if you’d like.
LETS GET STARTED...
Once the official worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. your children will remain with you throughout the duration. If your child should become too much of a distraction during the service, we’ve got a nice space in the balcony where you can still listen to the sermon while you attend to the needs of your little one.
Our ushers can help you relocate to a quiet spot with minimal commotion.
Our balcony is a comfortable & secure area of the church where you can resolve any problems and address the situation accordingly. Once situated, you are welcome to either remain in the balcony & wait for the service to conclude, or quietly make your way back downstairs after your child is calm & ready to return.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
Our children’s ministry might not be what some folks are used to, but we’ve structured it the way we have with good reason. Concerning worship services in particular, the Bible says that our gatherings should be done “decently and in order” (I Corinthians 14:40). We want to honor God in all we do at this church, and our children’s ministry is no exception. Our hope is to provide a place where God’s truth can be heard, and to maintain a peaceful environment that ministers to all of our guests, children included.
